Louise wanted a separate bodice and skirt and also a matching short skirt in the silver satin to wear with the bodice for the evening reception.
Louise chose a silver Duchess Satin with a black French corded lace to go over the bust of the bodice.
I had a fantastic wedding. I felt so special in my dress. I wore the long skirt the whole time. Everyone adored it-especially Nigel. Amazingly good to dance in (‘til wee small hours!) Mum looked great too and wore her outfit all day. Louise
Judy knew exactly the style of dress and jacket she wanted to wear for her daughters wedding but couldn’t find it
“off-the-peg.”
Looking through my fabric samples, she chose this beautiful shot dupion silk in turquoise and burgundy.
Judy’s dress is panelled, with silk and chiffon set into inverted pleats in the skirt.
She wanted her jacket to be edge to edge, and without a collar, so that she could wear a buttonhole. I made this in silk for her, as well as her fascinator and bag, to match her outfit. She then only had to shop for her shoes!
Everyone at the wedding admired our dresses and you got some great plaudits - well deserved too as we both felt very special. Judy
