Sam showed me a picture in a magazine that she loved, of
Nicole Kidman wearing an evening dress, at a launch of a film.
Sam just happened to be tall and slim like Nicole, however, I used this photo as a guideline to design a halter neck bias-cut dress.
This slinky style was adapted into a wedding dress by adding a train and by choosing a silver Chantilly lace over turquoise silk crepe de chine. The bodice has been beaded in a random design in red, green and purple, as a contrast to the turquoise.
The colours and shape of the dresses were similar, but this dress became Sam’s, rather than being an identical copy of Nicole’s!
